Course descriptions
4WD training equips drivers with the skills and confidence to safely navigate diverse terrains
— from soft coastal sands to rugged outback tracks. Participants learn essential techniques
such as vehicle recovery, terrain assessment, and safe driving practices. Whether for work or recreation,
4WD training helps drivers travel responsibly, protect the environment, and handle real-world off-road challenges with confidence.
Candidate requirements
- Must hold a class C drivers licence
- You must be 18 years of age or over
- Read and write English to a basic level
When enrolling for our courses you have to complete the Language, Literacy, and Numeracy (LLN) Assessment. If you have any concerns about your LLN skills, we encourage you to contact us before enrolling.
If you have any physical conditions that may affect your ability to complete a course, please visit a doctor and obtain a “Fit for Work” certificate, and send it to: compliance@deserttocoast.com.au
