Multi-Combination (MC) Training and Licensing


Course Summary
It involves maintaining safe, systematic, and efficient control of all vehicle systems, performing coupling and uncoupling of dollies, and effectively monitoring and responding to traffic, environmental, and road conditions. It also includes managing vehicle condition and performance and applying appropriate strategies to deal with hazardous situations.
Driving is undertaken with limited supervision, with the operator exercising a duty of care for their own safety and that of others while consistently achieving required operational outcomes.

- TLIC4006 Drive Multi Combination Vehicle
- TLIB0002 Carry out vehicle inspection
- TLIB2008 Carry out inspection of trailers
Any multi combination unit towing one or more trailers, each having a gross vehicle mass greater than 9 tonnes.
Candidate requirements
- Must have good verbal and written comprehension of the English language
- Must be over 18 years of age
- C (Car) class licence for at least three (3) years; and HR (Heavy Rigid) class licence or HC (Heavy Combination) class licence for at least one (1) year.
