Training Summary
If you need an LR or MR licence for any reason, speak to our staff about lessons. We have three staff members fully qualified to conduct lessons in your vehicle.
Please be aware, Desert to Coast do not have an LR or MR vehicle and will require students to provide their own vehicle for training and assessment. A Department of Transport issued learner’s permit will be required prior to lessons taking place. All tests are conducted at the Department of Transport and can be booked via the DoT Direct website. If you would like a lesson for the hour before your test, please refrain from booking and contact our staff to ensure the instructor is available at that time. Our instructors are available to escort you to your test and wait during your assessment to escort you home afterwards again. This will be charged out at a full hour. If you would like to book or have any other enquiries, please contact our staff.
If you have held your full Western Australian Driver’s Licence for two (2) years, (are off your P plates), you may be eligible to do our HR training. A HR will allow you to drive LR, MR and HR vehicles. We have multiple HR trucks for our students to use and can do the entire process in-house, no learner’s permit required, and testing is done by our own assessors. Many students find this option to be more appealing than LR/MR as a year after completion, you are eligible to do your MC licence (road train). Please contact our office for more information on your options when it comes to truck licencing.
