
Course Summary
This course equips participants with the knowledge and skills to identify and safely respond to small emergencies within a facility, such as fires, chemical spills, or other minor incidents. The training focuses on how to assess the situation, select and use appropriate firefighting equipment, implement emergency procedures, and communicate effectively during an emergency response.
Candidate requirements
- Must have good verbal and written comprehension of the English language
- Must be over 18 years of age
- Must have good general health and fitness for practicals (eg. physical work)
- Must have basic mathematical skills and knowledge to work out formulas
- Must wear long sleeved shirt, long leg pants and steel cap boots

When enrolling for our courses you have to complete the Language, Literacy, and Numeracy (LLN) Assessment. If you have any concerns about your LLN skills, we encourage you to contact us before enrolling.
